Yesterday I got in the first sail of the season on a lake near my home in SE Michigan.  It seems incredible that my last sail of 2011 was in November, and my first sail of 2012 was in March.  I could have sailed several times in the last couple of weeks.  I went out with a friend, and the wind was about 12 mph or so.  Then when we decided to head back in, it died almost completely.  Unfortunately we hadn't brought the outboard, thinking we wouldn't need it.  We made it back, but it was slow going.  It felt great to be on the water.
