Com pac 16 cabin

i called com pac and they want 150 for templates. Wow. maybe i will just go ahead without them. ( my interior is gone. as in removed.)
has anyone ever heard of changing the interior around, and what wouild happen if I sailed it empty. or with just a cabin sole level with the top of the keel, extending all the way back with braces for the cockpit? I have almost all the crap ground out of inside and I am going to fix the crumbling top of the keel and put it back together, stock or not.
