Pacman

I wanted to extend an invitation to C-16 sailors who might be interested in coming to Sarasota to sail this winter.

We sail in Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico and it is absolutely beautiful this time of the year.

We have good ramps and easy access to the Gulf.

Let me know if that sounds interesting.

Thanks, Pacman.

I talked to the moderators and about a dozen others in NJ, IL, WI and MI.

We'll be coming down in Bob23's 40' RV on Saturday.  Make that Sunday, it is afterall vacation.  Since it doesn't have A/C, we'll need showers at your place upon arrival.
Oh, and since it's kinda last minute and we don't have time to get food, thanks for having us over for dinner too. We'll only stay 10 nights.
Don't worry the neighbors won't mind the loud partying in the front yard until dawn. By the 7th night we'll be in bed by 3 anyway.
One last thing, thanks in advance for letting us use your boat and for stocking it with cold beer.  Heck, we may even log some rudder kph tests for you too.
That's just the kind of sailors we are. :)

Trip update:
The rv can safely hold about a dozen but 22 folks have signed up so far. I can squeeze 'em in but we can sure spread out when we get to Pacman's place. A bit of misinformation, though. It's not a 40 footer but a 20' trailer pulled by a vintage 22' rv. o Previously owned by Jed somebody or other.
We're all excited about the trip. Some are talking "one way". Hmm...wonder where they'll stay?

Remember, Bob, I get to ride inside until we get to the GA border.  Then I'll take up shotgun in the rocker.  TG

Well,

Since nobody came last weekend, I drank all the beer that we put on the boat, ate all the shrimp we caught on Friday, slept in on Saturday, and sent the circus tent back on Sunday.

It has cooled off a bit, down into the 70s, so I might wait a few days until it warms up a bit to go sailing.

Just another day in paradise.

Yeah Pac - Bob was a no show.  All talk! The snow was too deep! He ran out of gas! The headwinds kept him from getting here! The dog ate his GPS!  - tg

Truth be told:
I was working on the boat and the mast fell on my head giving me temporary amnesia. I couldn't even remember what kind of beer I liked best! That's how serious it was. Went to the ER where they gave me a cat scan. Results showed nothing there! Big surprise, huh.
Anyway, around Tuesday I started remembering some things like my password for this site. My deepest apologies for not showing up but fortunately, through this ordeal, the mast was not damamged at all. Actually, alert readers will remember that I was in the middle of a mast straightening task. The conk on my head straightened it out just fine.
What kind of beer did I miss?

Sorry I missed the outing!  I'm in Sarasota (at the Squadron), and would love to catch the next one, if there is one.

By the way, I could have helped out with that beer ;-)
