Any suggestions on cleaning aluminum mast

Autoparts store - buy "Alumi-brite" Cleans it right up, then use polyglow or another acrylic finish to re-shine.

Every couple of years a good rubbing with a cleaner-wax auto polish might help keep the aluminium shiny.
A good aluminium brightener, say for semi trucks, could be a good first step to take care of the oxidation.
I think my mast and boom might be anodised only because I have not found any oxidation. But I'm not near salt.
