Wow, that's the most serious backstay I've ever seen on a 16. She's really rigged for heavy weather :).

Can not fool C16 sailors!  

It is a 38 foot one design that my middle daughter used to crew on in the Bay area. (Phat Jack) They agreed to take me out and let me steer for a while.  We did turn around in an hour or so, much short of Hawaii.  

I really like the flick and the idea that at least for awhile I was indeed headed for Hawaii.
