We recently acquired a 2005  21 Eclipse, from its second owner in Murrells Inlet, SC.  While not new to sailing, it has been quite a while since we have owned a sail boat.  Our first was a boston Whaler 5.2 Harpoon, then a Catalina 22, 25, and then a 27.  The Catalinas were all sailed on the Gulf coast.

We intend to sail the Eclipse on fresh water lakes near our home in Birmingham with and occasional trip to the coast.

While surfing this site a few nights ago I found a picture of our boat posted by the original owner in 2008.

We have enjoyed reading the posts and will have some questions in the future I am sure.

congratulations!

you probably already know about lots of good sailing along the alabama gulf coast - dauphine island, st joe bay, petit bois island and mississippi sound,  mobile bay , perdido bay, wolf's bay, etc.

the claiborne s young guides and maps are good if youve been away from it for a while.

Welcome Carol, good to have another mid south sailor on board.  My 23 came from Guntersville, now on Bay Springs Lake, MS.
