Hey guys I got a different boat!!

Hey guys if any of you remember I owned a Compac 16 for a short period of time Billy even helped me out and showed me the basics of sailing it!! Anyways  the rigging went bad on it so I sold it. Well I really missed owning a boat and was trying to find a Compac 19 but had no luck so I'm a trader and went with a hunter. I purchased a 1984 hunter 25.5 I currently have it docked over in the Hudson Florida area. Happy to be on the water again!!!!

Congrats traitor! those boats are nice, especially the older ones. The newer hunters went and fixed the rigging when it wasn't broke! they criss-crossed the rigging and eliminated the back stay. now the rigging hums in the wind. They aren't as pretty as the Com-Pacs but they are a lot faster. I think your girlfriend will like the bigger boat too, it will be much more stable than the 16. What is the draft?

Hey Billy I know I was looking for a Compac 19 for over 2 months and I just saw that add on craigslist I wa pissed!!! Jeannie wanted another Compac and that 19 has such a nice shallow draft. My hunter draws a little over 3 feet it's about 3 feet 4 inches. Its not a classic looking as the compac's but she's not bad good solid hull nice sails really nice room in the cabin!! I just need to find someone that can do woodwork restoration on the interior and I'm set!! If anyone on the forum knows anyone that's good with replacing teak laminate marine plywood and I may end up replacing the bulkhead too let me know!!
