    another thing alex, make sure you ease your mainsheet when hoisting the main, if you dont it will bind the sail. fairwinds and a hearty welcome to new com-pacers

The Kickster is right on this one.  While rigging our 19 for a sail this summer,  Admiral B heaved on the main halyard for all she was worth and couldn't get the main all the way to the top.  She was getting a bit frustrated until I realized that the mainsheet was cleated down tight.   Oooops!  Sorry dear.

Hi casey,
I am also new,  Just bought a cp16 1983 and have it up on the hard in Titusville,
Fl.  I live in N.C. but I will be down in florida the last two weeks of Jan. to do some work on her.  I don't think I'll put her in the water at that time.  I"ll return to Fl. in April and hope to get her in the water at that time.  Let me know if you would like to sail together or just compare notes on these great little boatsHappy Holidays.
