Ready for the fall sailing season

Here in FL some of the best lake sailing is before us.

I just got my boat ready:

- shined her up
- put on a new battery
- mounted the trailer lights on poles to keep them out of the water
- put new teak on the hatch and door rails
- installed a solar fan to keep her dry (on door - not shown in pics)
- added a top-up solar cell for the battery (on door - not shown in pics)
- put an extension cord on the electrical system so the battery can stay in the front and still use the electric motor in the back
- replaced the winch strap
- installed the boat identification vinyl I got from my brother (if you need vinyl id "stickers" let me know)

Can you elaborate on your electric motor? Specs, performance, install, cost, etc.?

Oops - sorry to mislead.

Electric TROLLING motor.  It's the Minn Kota 50 series.

For lakes it is great.  I would not use it in the ICW or in the open sea.

My boat is in Lake Whippoorwill, in southeast Orlando.

It's a nice setup.  I work at an organization that owns lakefront.  My boat is tied up right in front of my office, so it urges me to get out there.  I have been sailing 4 days in the last seven days.  It only takes about 10 minutes to rig and go.
