I finally made it!

I was looking for a 19 for several years and never could find one in the upper midwest.  I ended up buying an '83 Starwind 19 (from a compac dealer) and after spending 4 months painting and outfitting it, I sailed through the Keys this past winter.  However, on the 29th evening I ran into a gale force storm that destroyed the deck while tied to the dock at Little Palm Island.  Boat U.S. was incredibly fast with it's payout and even waived the deductable.  As I started to look for a replacement, I couldn't beleive it when I found 3 Compac 19s for sale within a days drive of our house!   I bought an '85 Compac 19/ll and look forward to many adventures with her.

I have always admired the Compac line and hope to participate in this fine forum.
