so as not to rile posidon, are there any special procedures to re-naming my boat to avoid any bad luck (maritime misfortune)?

Bob,
You are such a reasonable man.  I think your solution satifies all the parties involved.  That's $200 more for our CP19 kitty!

I'll rename her for 99.95 and I will include the vinyl lettering. Just got to get your boat to Utah...

Please be informed that Newt does not, I repeat, does not have the proper credentials needed to protect your vessel from the dangers associated with improper name change. Mike and I are accredited through the ASSANINE (American Society of Ships And Nautical Intervention of Namechanging Eternal) and have the background and experience to prove it. I have changed the name on my 23 and she hasn't sunk.
Understand that as of April 5th the rates go up to a minimum of $500.00. That's $250 each. We have no control over this as the rates are set by a neutral panel of sailors, whose identity is kept top secret. Even we don't know who they are.
HOLD THE PHONE! For a limited time, if you send us each $150, we can guarantee that you will be kept out of danger after the name change. This, of course, depends on us giving our blessing to the new name. If you pick out something stupid, like "Septembers Love" (my vessels previos name), we can't be held responsible.
Beware of low prices...go with a trusted firm! Remember, ASSANINE IS ON YOUR SIDE!
