We would like to thank all the fine people who contribute to this site.  The information, advice, support, encouragement and humor has made this long winter pass so much more pleasurably.  A hobby (or addiction in some cases) is even more enjoyable when it is shared by others.  Brenda and I have learned things from many of the postings and shared many laughs over the humorous postings.

Now that the ice is finally off the lakes in Madison, WI we can go out on our CP16 and try out our new foil rudder and roller furler. Thanks again to all for keeping sailing fresh in our minds each day and encouraging us novices.

Well thank you Mike,

You pretty much took care of the month of February for us with the interesting rudder and furler project.  First thing every morning I had to tune in to see if there was a progress report with pictures.  Can't wait for the performance report when you put it in the water.

Hear, hear!
Mike- you inspired me to start my rudder project which is coming along fine.
After spending some time here at the site, one starts to really get to know the folks. And a fine bunch of Compac-ers they are. Proud to be a part of this group!
But we are wondering- what will Mike build next?

Mike and Brenda,

Glad to have you both here and have enjoyed your adventures and tales of boat modifications.  This is what a forum is all about...sharing information and supporting our fellow Com-pac crowd.    What comes around, goes around...one day someone will thank you for infor you've shared as well.

See you at Carlyle Lake!

Hmmmm.  Bob can't post pictures of his "boat".  He tell us that it is too far to trailer his "boat" to Illinois.  I don't think you really have a boat Bob.

Hear, here! Thanks again good contributions.

Hey Tim we have some new sailors trying to be approved to join up on CPYOA. Can you do something about that? I've been receiving some e-mails.

HERE IT IS.

Hi Skip,

Please forgive my intrusion (you don?t know me).

Have been reading the outstanding CPYOA forum postings for a few weeks now and just (Saturday) bought a Com-Pac 19 (00052) thanks to ?Greene?s ? posting http://cpyoa.geekworkshosting.com/forum/index.php?topic=3080.0 .  He had mentioned seeing an ad on Craigslist in Somersworth, NH.  It?s still sitting at the previous owners house until I can get the trailer road worthy.

I?m having a little difficulty getting my logon approved at the Com-Pac forum site.  It?s been saying ?waiting for approval since last week, but maybe it typically takes a while ? if so, ignore me!

I know you aren?t the admin, but I don?t know how to contact CaptK.  Could you forward this on to him?

Thanks ? I appreciate your help ? again ? sorry to bother you.

I had registered as user ?cycle? using my home email: brownj@maine.rr.com

Skip - I've checked - there are no un-resolved requests for the facebook site - The only one I've got admin responsibility for.

Capt. K is looking for a new site hoster for this message board & the CPYOA website.

The temptation is killing me. If I can't bring the boat, maybe I can bring only the new rudder? How 'bout it?

I saw Bob's boat.  I even saw Bob.  The pics were a couple of years old and were on a website of a guy who brought an old 16 back to life.  I can't remember his name but there were pictures of them out sailing.

Oh come on!  We're not going to fall for that.  You Bob's always stick together and support each other.  Until we see the real Bob23 in Carlyle with real (untouched) photos of an actual CP23 we won't believe anything a Bob says.  (Bob23   - I'm still going to keep my half of our partnership in the boat renaming venture even if you don't have a boat.)

Mike:
You're drivin' a hard bargain. If I produce proof of 3 boats, do I get to keep the entire boat renaming fee?
That 16 was owned by Kevin, a good friend who later sold her, bought a 19, sold her and bought a Seaward 24 which did not see water last summer due to the construction slow-down. He's busy this year so maybe he'll sail.
Ok, Mike- I'm gonna get yer email address...and if I do- look out! Photos will be arriving. Of course you might be skeptical thinking I stole 'em or doctored them.
In other news, today here in the South of NJ, weather is forecast to be warm and sunny. Dingy and Frce 5 moorings are going in and Bob23 is going rowing!
