Would like to meet and sail with other Com Pac Sailors here on the west cost.

Depending on how many there are, may be we could start and invite list for a couple of sail get togethers during the year.

Glenn,

I feel your pain.  At least your in Southern Cal.  Try finding other Com-Pacs in Oklahoma; more likely to be struck by lightning.

Reminds of last summer when I went to get gas for the pontoon boat and coming back across the lake I saw a sailboat that looked familiar,oh boy ,oh boy, another CP16, its really great to be in the company of one of your own kind, turns out the sailer was renting on the lake and we didn't get a chance to sail together, but made arrangements for this coming year if he returns, lots of other sailboats on the lake, but only one lonely CP16.......Phil

Bob, I purchased her new in 1978, I have adorned her in every up date since and kept her in like new condition. Have owned and sailed many boats prior to CP16, but Jonna III is the boat that found me and wouldn't trade her for any other boat. My plan when I die is go out like the Vikings.........just kidding or maybe not, thanks for asking......Phil

Hey Glenn,
There are more Compacs out here in California than you may think!  I have a C19xl on Clear Lake in Northern California.  (Maybe too much X-mas shopping going on right now for response to your posting).  Sailing has not been great here this year because of low water conditions.  Hope this changes this next season.  I am presently in Florida where I sail my Suncat throughout the winter season.  Would welcome a visit from you up here next summer on the beautiful Clear Lake!  Where are you located in Socal?

Well,

There are a few out here on the west cost.

Anyone up for a planned sail in the future ? (after the holidays)

Are most here on the west cost sailing in the oceans or lakes ?

I would love to sail at Tahoe in the summer, possibly end of July first part of August.

The boat I have now I have only sailed out of Venture Marina which the wife and I like, pretty clean area, nice boat ramp and finger docks, boat wash, clean restrooms, plenty of restaurants and shops to walk through for the gals !

Looking forward to meeting you all and sailing together.
