Does anyone know that the Ares 1-X launched this morning? Yesterday's launch attempt was cancelled but they finally got it up today. This is a pretty significant event as the Ares will be the launch vehicle for the next manned crew vehicle, the Orion, as part of the Constellation Program. That is, until December when Obama may very well pull the rug out from under NASA, but that's another rant.

So anyway, a couple of you here may know that my brother, Chris,  is a NASA employee. Well, not really an employee. He's a Captain in the Navy, a former fighter pilot and sort of a contractor to NASA. OK, he flies their spaceships for them.

And yesterday I got the tour of a lifetime! Check it out!
