Anyone out there in Compac world planning to attend the show on March 20-22? If so, we could exchange shoe-phone numbers and acually meet in person. I will be there on Saturday with an old friend from here in NJ who has a summer home up thataway. Ahyup!

Well, I'm back from the Maine Boatbuilders Show and it was fantastic! Lot's of small boat builders there...Marshall Catboats, Norseboat, Adirondack Guideboat to name a few. It sure is nice to be around boat people...a different and refreshing breed to be sure.
The show was in Portland in the old Portland Yacht Services buildings which are a trip in and off themselves, if you get into old buildings and timber framing. I do. Went up with and old friend and stayed in his house in Boothbay. The people are wonderful; a lot of hardworking blue collar folks who would do anything for you. Even though I'm a flatlander, I felt right at home. Too at home- started looking at real estate mags. But who would leave NJ?
Anyway, I didn't bring back my Hinckley...they didn't have the one I wanted in stock.
