Hello Everyone!

I have been waiting several weeks to get my approval to get on the forum. I bought a project boat on Memorial day and have been working on it when I can since. Its an 87 CP 16/2. I wanted the bowsprit as I heard that makes a bit of a difference. I might have been a bit hasty as I really would like one a little newer, but fate seemed to point me to this one so there you go.

I am 50 now and have been sailing since my Dad taught me as a teen. I have raced hobie cats and had a boat similar to the CP 16 but have never really had the time to enjoy a boat as often as I would have liked. I intend for this one to be different. I can tell that the level of experience and knowledge in this forum is way above par so I hope I can count on you all for advice and shortcuts to get me back on the water soon. Thank you in advance -Brian

Welcome Brian

Congratulations on your new boat.

Your right on about this site, good people willing to share a lot of knowledge. Also a good place to share adventures.

Good luck on your refit and if you ever feel discouraged just look through some of the photo albums. There are a lot of amazing craftsmen out there willing to share there knowledge.

Brian,

Welcome to the forum!  Congratulations on your "new" boat.  We look forward to photos and an agenda.  You are going to really like the 16!  Think "Idasailor".  Hint. Hint.  Nudge.  Nudge.  Know what I mean.  Know what I mean.  ;)
