Seaman Deuce

The rotator cuff surgery I had in December was a success.  An PT has been great too!  Way ahead of the recovery curve - so much I put th SD in Coffee Creek last night at dusk and took her out for a short spin this AM before heading for the Firehouse.

Only motorsailed (no wind this AM) for about 30 minutes but am pleased with the Seaman Deuce's response.  Will definitely get more water time in this weekend.

That's what's called "Hydro Therapy"... we've all experienced the healing power of sailing... it definitely releases good chemicals in the body...
Fair Winds and a speedy recovery to you... don't overextend yourself just because you're feeling better... wait 'till it's all glued back together.

Or "cured" as the case may be.  Better than "kicked" I guess.  ;D

Epoxy jokes.  Get it? ;D :D

Best to ya on your recovery !!

Congratulations Cal

Thats one of the good things about sailboats. They can be motored and still be enjoyed. There will be many more days of perfect wind.

Hey, I'm not going to push it!  I still have a long way to go before the shoulder is 100%.  Still got a lot of rehabbing to do.

Deuce:
I've been on the rotator cuff cruise. I had the left done on 10/06... so bad they almost didn't do the operation but I've got a great surgeon, he stitched it, I listened to him and now it's ok. Lots of pt. It took 6 months post surgery before the doc gave me the ok to row, something I love. During a 2 hour row, I noticed my right shoulder hurting. Sure enough, that one had a nice tear in it.
On 6/02, I'm scheduled to have the right one done. Had so much fun the first time that I just had to try it again! Of course, I'll loose the enitre sailing season but that stuff happens.
Listen to the doc....the word I've heard is that these things take a year to heal and whatever condition it's in at the 1 year mark, is where it will be for good!
   Enjoy the Compac therapy! Bob23
