im new to the compac family . i retired from the police department in july after an "interesting" 30 years and am hoping to spend a lot of time on the water in my 81 compac 16. my wife and i last sailed more than 16 years ago, mostly cats but one mono-hull chrysler mutineer, i saw this compac in the paper under recreational vehicles for 2500.oo got it for 16. best damn money i ever spent. i sailed her "kickinbug" three times alone and twice with sarah before it got too cold. what a joy she is, sarah too. anyway im glad to join the group and hope to get some good advise. pictures to come. thanks one and all.    thanks "Kickinbug"

Welcome for the Com-Pac Yacht Owners forum.  Sounds like you have already descovered what a great little sailboat the CP16 is.  We own a CP16 year 1983 Number 1994, named Summer Escape.
If your ever around Burlington Wisconsin drop us a line.
Happy Sailing
