After owning a ComPac of one size or another for twenty years now I used the excuse of needing some "Factory" parts to visit the boat yard this weekend.  My wife and I met with Rich and his brother and were treated like family. We got to take a look around the yard, ordered the parts we needed and made plans to visit again at the boat show in Miami.

Would love to plan a ComPac owners get together at the show if anyone else is going?

Do you think Com Pac would allow you to take a few snap shots so you could post them here on the forum ?

Would love to see the shop and some work in progress

Over the years at various shows we've met both Rich and Gerry and were also treated like family. Owning one of thier boats feels like you adapted one of thier kids.
At one of the shows, I initially addressed Rich as Mr. Hutchins. He shook my hand, and smiling said "Rich".
I guess thier dad raised them two boys right.

When I and my traveling companions go to the All Sail Boat Show in Chicago each year we make it a point to stop at The Com-Pac boat booth and say 'Hi' to Rich and the local boat dealer also attending the show.
We talk up the boats to others who stop by and drag out the pictures of those who hang around a bit to ask questions and dream. What fun. skip.

Rats!! I have a snowmobile trip planned the first weekend of February!!  I live only 3 hours from Chicago... More like 2 1/2 from Navy Pier!

If you go there, I can highly recommend the Weber Grill Restaurant. The steaks and ribs are fantastic.
