Jerry Hutchins Passed Away

Read on another site this morning Jerry passed. I talked with him on several occasions on the phone and in person at the Chicago Strictly Sailboat show. My old computer stores a picture of Steve, Sara, Mike & Brenda Greene, me & and my wife with Jerry.

Sad day.  Jerry was a great guy, all of us older ComPac owners probably crossed paths with him back in the late 70"s early 80's.  Remember how nice the old Srictly Sail shows were. Instead of the huge boat show at McCormick Place, you got to look at sailing stuff, no bass boats, or high heels on big power boats.  LOL

What a great guy.  He certainly will be missed.  Last time we talked we talked a bit about his cancer, something we both shared.  He assured me he was doing well.  Gerry - RIP and Sail On.....

I'm so sad to learn this. He was always very helpful when I contacted him. Rest in peace Jerry.

Sad news! I wish we could collectively do something to honor him for his contributions. A truly great person!

Sad and unexpected news. Condolences to his family.

It sure seems he lived a full life, in doing so made the lives of many others better, and has left behind a legacy that will go on for a long, long time yet.
