Hi, folks!

I read Jessica Watson's book 'True Spirit' last year; I very much enjoyed learning about her story regarding her attempt to become the youngest person to sail, non-stop, around the world. Her book has been made into a movie and will be available on Netflix tomorrow, Feb. 3rd, 2023. Here is a link to an article published by the American Sailing Association which interviews Jessica about her new movie!

Thanks! I remember reading about her and the Pink Boat a while back in Good Old Boat magazine!

Thanks Chelle.  Funny this didn't come up on Netflix's new releases.  I just finished watching it.  Very brave and determined young woman.

I would love to attempt a circumnavigation.  However I don't think Joanie would approve.  She's leaving today for a week trip with friends, so tomorrow, if my migraine subsides, I'm setting sail for ???

I missed an opportunity to sail to New Bern with Charlie on his PC 34 today because of the migraine.

Hi Carl -- it'd be kind of chilly out there today (42F hi), but looks like at least 3 days next wk will be good New Bern/Oriental days for sailing.  I hope to get out there at least once.  Hard to pass on days in the 60's F.  Sure hope your migraine is gone by then.

Hi Al,

Yes the latter part of the week is looking good.  I always keep enough food aboard for at least a week so I can take off at a moments notice.  Right now I'm thinking of sailing up to Washington and then Bath on the return.
