Tim Gardner?

I was riding my bicycle exploring new neighborhoods when I came across a gentleman checking his mail.  I stopped and we had a lengthy conversation about Oriental.  It turned out he is a retired fire captain from Smith Mountain Lake.  I asked if he knew a Tim Gardner, but he replied in the negative.  He did mention he knew of a Robert Gardner.
This got me to thinking, which is rarely a good thing, is our Tim really this Robert living under an alias, or is Robert our Tim?  Or, perhaps this gentleman didn't care to admit knowing our Tim?  Like Steve, Chris, Roger, Mike, Bob and everyone on this forum denies knowing me.

What do we really know about Tim?
Oriental, "The Sailing Capitol of North Carolina".

1985 Compac 19/II  "Miss Adventure"
1986 Seidelmann 295  "Sur La Mer"

Excuse me Carl, but have we been introduced? You look familiar!

Quite Frankly, I'm not the Gardner people remember around here.  That would be Vicki, the Admiral.  However "The Robert" does have a nice glow to it. You know, it means being renown, and  bright or famous.

This of course does not apply to the diminutive form , "Bob", which means to float aimlessly among flotsam, jetsam, and jellyfish.

I suspect, since there is no Smith Mountain Lake Fire dept, (there is a SML MARINE Fire Dept. an altogether different entity), this man CC met was a fraud. And Carl?, I expect you to ride your little bike right over to this man's house and proclaim loudly his fraudulence.

Nothing wrong with a little flotsam, jetsam and jellyfish are great with peanut butter! Wash it all down with a PBR and you've got meal!
And, the name is Robert! Says so on my parole card!

Since I have never met but have received help from both Tim and Carl on various problems for which they have relevant knowledge, I cannot in good faith deny the existence of either.  However, could it be while tottering around on your bicycle that you were mistaken and that the individual you met was actually a previous resident of Lewis Smith Lake, AKA Smith lake, a beautiful and large body of water in North central Alabama.  There are a number of fire departments in the communities that border that lake.

As for Bob or Robert, he must be real because PBR is still being sold, so someone must still be buying it for that to be.  Simple logic.
