In researching various methods to limit the growth of barnacles on underwater metal, I've read several post about using zinc rich paint spray paint. Rustoleum makes one and Petit makes one called pettit prop coat barnacle barrier. Ones $7 and the other is $30. Has anyone ever used either products? Obviously location and boat usage play roles in growth but in general how did it work out?

When my boat was hauled for Hurricane Florence last fall, I sanded my prop and applied the aerosol version of Petit Prop Coat Barnacle Barrier (Defender 754317, on sale now for $20.99). First time I've tried something like this. Will haul again next fall and report on my one-year results!
