Joanie and I have added a few more days to our vacation and will arrive in Key Largo Monday, January 21st and head home on Friday, January 25th.

We have only a few days there, but no plans, so if anyone is willing to take us sailing, we'll gladly take you and yours to dinner afterwards.

Thanks,  Carl

WHAT?

No one here lives in the keys?  Our boats were built for water like this!

Or.....has my "crazy carl" rep discouraged any possible chances?

Well, we arrived stateside this morning and we'll be here til friday before returning to our frozen homeland.

If any one wants a good sailing story to relate dockside, here is your chance!

Doesn't seem possible.  Clearly that could only enhance the potential entertainment value of such a meeting.  Wish I was there.  Have a good time.  Don't look at the weather or you might not go home.

Saw a sad looking Compac 16 in Key West anchored in the Garrison Bight harbor in February.  Looked like someone might be living on it, although it was locked up when we passed it. It had not moved for a while and the hull was crusted in barnacles.  Maybe there are some Compacs down there, but if they are anything like that one, they are used for housing or not in sail able conditions.

Sadly I missed this. I live in Miami and keep my CP16 in Key Largo. If you come back again, let me know! :)

Oriental.  We purchased an acre there 5 years ago.  We have a new dock and will build next year when we move.
