I forgot to renew the domain name, so that's why the site was down for a little while. Not to worry, all is well, and we'll be fixing it so that that shouldn't happen again.

Really, we all appreciate so much your efforts (they are Hurculean) to develop and maintain this forum. I saw several notes to the effect that it would depress many sailors if this thing went away.
My message is:

I know there must be expenses. Can we offer money and where do we send it?

I know I help administrate but do little for fear of screwing it up, do I need lessons?

So we appreciate you being there for us all, tell us how we can help. I know we have CRBACK, and others who care. Let's all show how much we care.

I've only owed my ComPac 23-3 since last October and have yet to put her in the water.  I'm amazed at how troubled I was when I hit the website and saw the domain name hadn't been renewed.  I thought, Oh no... this site can't go away!  I've gotten used to visiting the forum everyday and dreaming about sailing.  I' really enjoy it. The input and advice has also been very helpful. 

THANKS to everyone responsible to make this site a reality.  It's easy for many of us to take your work for granted.  This site works very well and you're doing a great job.

I bet there are a lot of members willing to chip in some money to help defray costs if necessary.  Let us know if we could help.

Capt K made it happen and now Clemens is carrying the weight.  I've made a little money off the sailing DVD and want to send it somewhere to help support and show my appreciation.
Come on Clemens, give us an address so we can show how much we appreciate this site.

Dear Capt. K and Clemens:

I too was distressed to learn that the site was down and the domain name seemed to have disappeared.  i went through real withdrawal not being able to check the site each night before bed.  (My wife was pleased, however, because I no longer burned the midnight oil.)

I'm indebted to all related to this site for the great counsel and good fun provided!  Please keep it up.  I would love to contribute if there are expenses related to the site maintenance.

Oh thank goodness. Dab nabbit all, anyway... I thought we were done for...and I for one was considering the options.
