I am considering buying a Sunday Cat, but have never been in one. I am a pretty big guy and want to be sure I have enough room. If there is someone within 100 miles of Cherry Hill, NJ who would take me out, I would be appreciative.

Please contact me at jbfpc@voicenet.com

Thank you.

Great choice, I was in the market for a Sunday Cat as well this year. Then, I found a Sun Cat Daysailer local to me here in Texas, great buy so I bought it. The 11' cockpit is longer that the 9' cockpit of the Sunday Cat but with either of them you have a much more open feel then the Sun Cat. Since there are not that many Sunday Cat's in the wild keep your eyes open for a daysailer version for a test ride. Since you mention your a pretty big guy, the Sunday Cat cabin may be a little tight for you to get in and move around.

Joe:
I have owned a 2012 SunDayCat for one season now, and am pleased with it, suiting my usage needs well.
I am 6'1" & 240lb and get in and out of the storage cuddy cabin readily, when the mast and sail are up.
However, with the mast or boom down on the aft gallows, it is more awkward but doable.
Once inside, there is adequate room for me to access the anchor storage locker and battery.
Although there is a small porta-potty, to me it seems only usable for children, and i do not carry it with me unless grandchildren are along.
Were you nearer, I'd gladly show my SunDayCat to you.

Hi Joe,

My boat is in Vineland and I can take you out when the weather warms.  Boat is brand new and still wrapped!
