Amtracks, my best wishes to you and your spouse.

It might not be sailing, but if the situation improves somewhat, you might consider a road trip to Lake Havasu City.  Nice, but somewhat pricey rooms at London Bridge Resort, right on the waterway.  A room on the west side would overlook the channel.  A nice walking path along the waterway. Good places to eat closeby.

Winter is their downtime, so won't be as crowded.  There's an enclosed jetboat tour up the river canyon that takes about 3-4 hours.  It leaves from a dock north of the LBR.  See lots of wildlife and Indian paintings on the rock walls.

I'm so sorry to hear the c word.  We just celebrated our 40th--I can't imagine how this must affect you....................   Take Care,
Ron

Thanks to all three of you Sailors for the support. We have a large group of Brothers & Sisters as I'm a past CO of a Combat Veterans Motorcycle Assoc. Chapter in Prescott, AZ. I just happen to love sailing and miss the time my young bride and I spent off Sanibel & Captiva, Cabbage Key, Cayo Costa...I think I'll be back at it here, someday. We loved Lake Mohave and though on a Mako CC, we thought this Lake would be fun on a Sloop! For now, caregiver, then Lord willing, a CP19...because it will be just me. Bill
