New sails?

Well, it may be time for new sails for my Cp-16. The Main is bagged out, the jib somewhat better. However, I may consider sending them to Sailcare for possible restoration. Being that there are no rips or tears, this may be my first approach. They're not very dirty, but have just pretty much lost their snap. These are the original Johnson sails,1983 vintage. Is Sailcare the answer, or should we go with a new set? My understanding is that these people are very good at sail restoration. Just don't know. Any experiences?         Ken
