Hi All!
We will soon be picking up our new (to us) 2006 Sun Cat. We have enjoyed a few smaller (yet) sailboats over the years, mostly 'board boats' (Holder 12, O'Day Flying Saucer, Holder 14) and also a brief affair with a WW Potter 15. We look forward to mostly day sailing on Grand Traverse Bay off Lake Michigan.

There have been several modifications to the boat (that may need to prove themselves) and some accessories never installed. So I expect to return to the forum soon and often as we set the boat up to our needs and learn the peculiarities of cat rigged sailing generally and the Sun Cat in particular. Looks like a great little boat!

Welcome Jim,

Just got my new to me 2007 Sun Cat Daysailer and trying to learn the ropes like you. Here is a thread I started with a link to a Catboat Sail Trim guide I plan to print, study and keep on the boat.

Thanks for the link and thread...I was particularly impressed with the "Catboat Sail Trim Quick Guide" and will watch for more nuggets!
