HeaveToo

I have been hanging around watching you guys.  I can tell you that I miss sailing a little but the thing that I knew was coming just happened.  My wife is pregnant.  We just found out that we are having a girl.  The due date is July 27.

I don't know how long the powerboat will hold me over because I miss sailing and cruising.  Hell, I am and I have always been a sailor at heart.  Still, with a baby coming I know that I won't get down to the boat and spend the time on it that I would like to so being able to get out and do day trips works for now.  Money wise it is better too!  I still have plenty of offers to sail too so I may take some friends up on that.

Either way, just wanted to pass on the good news.

Congratulations! Your lives will change for the better.  My best times on the water were with my kids.

Hey Matt, congratulations on the big upcoming event!!!  And just be sure to get that young lady out on the water and addicted for life! Power or sail....makes no difference, just get out there!  Better yet- BOTH!

Congrats Heave! Had a feeling you were hinting at such when we last texted. Truly as PeterG says, get her out there.  :)

Congratulations!  It took about a decade after children born to get a boat, to teach them how to sail, of course.  I'm sure they can start much younger though.  I'm glad to hear the happy news, and that you are still here every now and then.

Congratulations! My neighbor, who' a bit crazy, told me he tied a bassinet down on a cape dory 30 and sail from Atlantic City to Block Island with his baby son. My wife would have chopped my hands off at the sight of me lashing down a bassinet.

Hey Rainman, My oldest daughter brought her 2 month old baby girl out sailing with the Admiral and I.  Maybe we are a bit crazy but the more time on the water the better!

Hey HeaveToo:
Congratulations, she will change your life in a very very good way.
We have three daughters all now in their 30's and still a blessing each in their own ways.
