Anyone know this CP-16?

For the past few months, I've been driving past this CP-16 parked near the highway in Edgewood, MD.  I tried looking up the hull number in the registry, but no dice.  Based on the HIN, I'm guessing it's #1059 from around 1980.  Registration last expired in 2016, and it's getting a little weathered right now.

Mark I version, but it has been modified for bringing halyards and sheets into the cockpit.  Likely has a genoa and added blocks to control from the front of the cockpit as well.  Trailer looks like mine, but has a tongue extension added.

If anyone knows the owner or may be interested in it, I'll see if I can leave a note and make contact.

Looks like the companionway is open. That doesn't bode well for what's inside. I just do not understand how someone can leave a boat like that. A $15 tarp would have bought two years protection. Doh.....

Ok Bob, here's another 16, though we are beginning to see the lay of the land....:)

I saw something a while back about a boat being stolen, and wonder if that could be the status for this thing.  Would be interesting to call DNR and see who the owner is.  Agree with Mas, that with the cabin open, it's definitely not going to be good inside.

Justin: Leave a note...I may be interested! Thanks. Sounds like just what I'm looking for!!

I'd recommend locating the owner of the lot its parked on, which is fairly easy.  Perhaps they know who's boat it is.  Unfortunately, DNR won't give you the owner information.
