Hey John, everyone has a price they believe something is worth but the reality of it is something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I know the price of 16's pretty well and just helped a friend acquire an 87' mk2 for less than you are asking. Given the state of yours i believe you will need to go south of a grand to move her anytime soon. You may wish to reach out to Bob23 with an offer he can't refuse as he has been looking for one at a really low gotta fix it up price for a while.
