This is the best boat handling book I have ever read. After 35 years as a professional sailor, I still rreturn to it. The illustrations are phenomenal.  Many of the vessels depicted in the pen and ink style are easily recognizable.  KIA LOA, and TICONDEROGA  for example.  So much practical information...
Tabarly discusses anchoring, mooring, coming alongside, under pwer and under sail, and much more, the characteristics of different hull and rig types.
