"and I have a 120 heater I can use when at slip. In fact, I'm going to try that this weekend, with the overnight temp in the 40s."

With our 120v heater on it was so warm in the boat the sleeping bags and sweat shirts/pants were really to heavy. A 120v heater in a 23 should keep you very very toasty.

This got Serenity into the 80s inside with a small fire when it was in the 30s outside. On the Sabre I have an Espar D2 to install but haven't done it yet.

Don't know how well the oil lamps will work in the dead of winter, but we do not sail then, are on the frozen stuff then, but this fall the oil lamps did a nice job of keeping it relatively warm. We have in our land yacht (4x4 Sportsmobile) simply turned in the propane stove for a bit as we wake up and by the time coffee is done it is very toasty. The same is true for the boat, a little time with the propane stove and instant warmth. We have sufficient air infiltration to be safe and never go to bed that way.
