I took the Horizon out on the reservoir last week. Perfect day, about 12 minutes from the house, surrounded by trees and great views, fresh water, and about 9 knots of wind. I'll go back there often. I was the fastest boat around. Got it up to 4.7 knots and was passing everyone - even one boat with twin 300 hp mercs. Of course his gas motors were out of the water and he was on his trolling motor doing 2 knots at best. I can do about 1 1/2 knots forward and 1 knot in reverse with the 55 pound thrust Mini-Kota. The red cat boat drew a lot of attention too.

I revised the trolling motor bracket to get a better footing on the ladder -

CaptRon28,

You finally wound up using my design philosophy for changes and improvements on my Sun Cat "Frisky". Simply stated it is "If at all possible, use what is already there!".

Nicely done!
