Hey Tom,

Sorry to hear about the Admiral's medical issue.  Was hoping that was over by now.

I'm the guy (actually Dennis the PO) who added the extra track on the boom so you don't have to disconnect the boom kicker when lowering the rig.  You do have to pull the pin and slide it to the rear onto the second (added) track.  Takes a second or two.

Put the new throat halyard gooseneck fitting on the mast today.  Easier than I thought.  taking the mast hinge apart was only two bolts, one on each side of the hinge.  Then lifted off the mast and put it aside.  Then I had to pull out the old broken park, and put the new one in connecting it to the gaff with a clevis pin and cotter pin.  Probably took 20 minutes with 10 of those fiddling with the cotter pin!
