Bruce: If you provide some rough dates, I might be able to crew for all or part of a trip south.

Hi Charlie:
I'm retiring the end of May and the rest of the year is wide open. We can figure this out !!!

Wait, are we going to Maine first, then the Bahamas?
I'm getting ready to haul mine from St Pete FL to Lake Michigan at the end of March.

Rick...
Seems a lil bit of confusion here.
This is not a thread about moving boats from N to S or vise versa ?

This is a simple thread about me wandering about the Abaco's this winter on Allure, my Compac 27.

The link to notes and pictures is:

Maybe a new thread could be started on moving boats?

Happy sailing!!

Trailered to Key Largo from Md last march. From there sailed to Key West and back then trailered back to Md. Have sailed up and down Chesapeake, the Delaware to Cape May and have never had an issue. Yes the current does slow you GPS speed but, its always been do able. Another advantage is that little M-12 is a very economical engine. Not much more than a quart an hour. With that said I have recently purchased another boat which has a yanmar 29 hp engine, but I didn't buy it for the bigger engine just wanted a bigger boat. Was planning a trip to Bahamas this year on my com-pac 27 but will now take the new boat to me, when its ready for that trip.

just my 2 cents
