The most famous Com-Pac sailor???

Has anyone been following the young man who just sailed his Com-Pac 35 from Oregon to Hawai'i? Oliver and his cat, Phoenix, have almost 2 million followers on their Instagram account!!! I heard Oliver interviewed on the Sailing Into Oblivion Podcast a couple of times recently - sounds like a really great guy! Hopefully, his notoriety and his successful passage to Hawai'i from Oregon will give some well-deserved kudos to the fantastic boats which Com-Pac are! I often come across folks talking about how Com-Pacs are not bluewater boats, but Oliver -- and I'm sure there are others -- has shown that they are quite capable!

Btw, speaking of Sailing Into Oblivion: The First Mate and I are going to be working with Jerome Rand of Sailing Into Oblivion in just a little over a week's time. We're working with him as a consultant on our newly acquired Com-Pac 25 up on Lake Superior. He is going to help us become acquainted with the new systems our 25 has -- systems our Legacy and 23 do not have. We've got a list from A-Z to cover, for example, practicing everything from reefing, anchoring, docking, working with charts/AIS/autopilot and more -- to maintenance/care of electrical/diesel/etc. Jerome circumnavigated solo, non-stop aboard his Westsail 32 back in 2017-2018 - he has a lot of additional passages under his belt with his Westsail 32, the Mighty Sparrow, as well. Definitely check him out, if you haven't yet! He's phenomenal!

Haha!!!😁 Yeah, I'm keeping busy, for sure! Learning a ton and really enjoying the journey!

My 25 was previously owned by another forum member here — Rafici. He also has a Com-Pac 35 — same boat as the Sailing with Phoenix guy, Oliver, I mentioned above, actually. Rafici was selling his 25 last summer up on Lake Superior.

I've got a lot to learn with the 25 — feeling a bit nervous, but more so excited to fill my sails with more challenges to help me grow as a sailor!
