Legacy bow sprit & Danforth anchor

Do any Legacy owners use a Danforth anchor on the bow sprit? Seems like the flukes would clank constantly when the wind is up. I'm 63 and looking for the lightest anchor that will do the job. So far the leader is the Fortress FX7 at 4 lbs. Strictly a freshwater sailor, so 90% of the anchor use is overnight in a protected arm of the lake. Thanks.

I have a Com-Pac 23 and had a similar issue as I hang my anchor on the bow pulpit. My solution was to attach a piece of leftover cushion foam to the shank so the flukes wouldn?t clank and the shank wouldn?t constantly rub up against my bow pulpit. I used zip ties but will probably make something fancier in the future.

I have a Legacy and use a Danforth anchor. I secure it with a couple of zip ties.
