I had the folks at Doyle make us new sails about two years ago (main with two reef points, 110% jib, and a storm jib.)  Apparently, they'd never fabricated a storm jib for a CP-16.  I finally tried it out sailing the harbor in Duluth, MN on Sunday.  Winds were gusting to 25 knots and I figured it would provide a more relaxing afternoon with two reefs in the main and the storm jib deployed.  The combination was well balanced and I believe we were moving along close to hull speed.  Quite satisfied and it's a confidence builder that we can get off the lake safely if the winds kick up...

What are the Luff and Foot dimensions of your storm jib?
$UM FUN TOO

CP-16 Hull# 2886

Luff = 104"
Foot = 56"
Leech = 78"
I think that works out to only about 15 square feet.  I had them fabricate it with heavier material.  It was nice to not flinch when the wind gusted.
