News:

2-15-25: Gerry Hutchins, founder of Com-Pac, has crossed the bar and headed west.

Sincere condolences to his family, and a huge "Thank You!" to Gerry from all of us, I'm sure.

OH NO!!!  Please, someone get a 2 x 4 and hit me upside the head!!  Hurry!!  That thing is only a few hours away.  In fact, I'll be going through there in a couple of weeks.

I'm with you Brackish.  My first instinct was, Buy Me!  I'd love a project boat, but my current to-do list reads like a novel.  Oh well, some lucky guy is going to have fun.

Yep, under normal circumstances I'd have already bought it.  But I have dozens of house projects going in anticipation of putting it up for sale so we can move to the coast.  Need to FOCUS. :-\

We'll race you.  We are doing exactly the same thing.

Saw this post yesterday. Was out in the garage all day working on my bowsprit, thinking about this boat.I've been looking for a daysailer at a reasonable price for my grand daughter who turns 16 in July.Of all our 14 grandkids she's the only one with a passion for sailing, she became my helmsman at 8 years old. She's one of those people who just know how to sail,no lessons, she just knows.Anyway last night I mentioned the boat to the "admiral",surprisingly she was all for it and couldn't believe I waited all day to mention it!If you look at the graigslist pic you'll see it has a Michigan registration number.Brandon MI is about 1 1/2 hours from me here in AuGres, and there is also a Jackson Mi reginal section on craigslist.Got up at 5:00 am to start making plans, just now(7:00 pm)realized the boat is in Brandon MS,over 1,000 miles away. With the over $400 in gas it"s out of the question.Big disapointment but I'll keep looking.Good deal for someone and she looks like she could use a good home......Doug

You didn't NEED the first one.

We buy boats because we WANT them.

WANT is further up the hierarchy than NEED.

Yeah Spartan,I think I saw that $500 and my brain went dead.I just put new numbers on last fall . All I had to do was turn around and look out the window, with the boat sitting right there,to see the MC's.Looks like someone bought her, maybe we'll here from him here......Doug
