Thanks for the feedback.
I've given some thought to the wiring, but I haven't committed to anything yet.  Currently my plan is to simply use some white tubing cut along its length so that the wires can be easily pulled out.  I was then going to use some p-clamps which I think I can insert/jam between the teak compression post and the laminate of the bulk head, so that it stays tucked up tight.  If that works it also means no need to drill more holes and install screws.  At the base I will need to drill a hole in the trim board giving me access back to the chase and locker area.

I decided not to reroute the wiring outside the compression post.  Instead I installed a short pvc nipple throught the deck (similar to yours) and sealed it real good with 4200 sealant.  Where the wires exit the nipple I installed a short piece of hose with a hose clamp and filled it with sealant.  I included an empty piece of tubing with a pull string and sealed the top opening for ease of future wiring.  I feel this will solve the issue.  While the mast was down I replaced all wiring, antenna, lights and connnectors.  Now it's time for the yard crew to re-step the mast.
Still need to figure out how to attach a photo.
