I live in New York State and am looking to buy a Com-pac 16, preferably 1984 or newer.  Am willing to travel a bit to get it as long as the trailer will get me back to NY!

I've seen this boat both times I've driven through Oriental since last fall.  I can't confess to knowing anything about the particular broker and it is quite a drive, but since you asked and she could use a good home...

Of course, if you're not already, I'd recommend keeping tabs on http://www.sailingtexas.com/.  Craigslist is also a good place to keep an eye out.  I've seen 16s (and others) filter in and out.  Some internet searching may turn up some more local options for you too.  I bought my boat used from a Com-Pac dealer just over an hour drive from me whose website I stumbled upon accidentally when looking up miscellaneous Com-Pac information.

You might also check out http://www.ipass.net/sailboat/ , The Sail Boat Company, they are not to far from Oriental and I bought 3 ComPacs from them a while back.  Great folks.

It's a small world sometimes.  I bought my boat from Keith too.  Very helpful.  I didn't see that he had any 16's listed right now though.  But you never know, one might pop up at any time!
