does anyone have the dimensions for the genoa on a c27....the one on my compac has been shortened and I would like to find one that is the correct size..either 135 or 150

A word of caution using the specs listed at the above link.  The P measurment is not accurate at least to my boat (1988) 27/2.  In addition the I measurment is from pin to pin of the forestay.  This is not the same as the Luff or maximum hoist for a sail.  When I bought my boat the PO had a nice north sail made for the boat...to the I measurement.  It did not fit the boat and I ended up selling it for a fraction of what he likely paid for it.

With that said I just today ordered a full set of new sails from Ullman.  I have complete measurments from my boat which has the original mast boom and furler from '88.  The sails I believe were the second set, but were from Johnson who made the original sails for these boats.

My Genoe was a 135% roller furler for a Isofurl:
Luff 28' 10"
Leech 26' 4"
Foot 16' 6"
LP 15' 3"
Luff tape is #6 (3/16)

Can you expand on why you are replacing your sails and why you picked Ullman?  Replacing the sails on my '87 are on my list as soon as the $$ are available.  I replaced the sails on my '81 compac 16 and noticed a difference right away.  I can't quantify it, but with the new sails the 16 seemed alot more responsiive and am thinking I might experience the same on my 27.  I think I have the original set right now which were refurbished by a previous owner.  Thanks

The main reason I am replacing them is they are simply old and worn out.  I was having a difficult time maintaining sail shape.  Much of my stitching was badly UV damaged and sails were stretched.  In addition the PO left sails on year round in Florida.  There were areas on the main where it had been exposed to the sun from hanging out of the sail cover as well as where the dutchman system was.  I had performed several patches on the main in the past couple of years.

My previous sails were Johnson's.  I am not sure if they were originals or the second set.  I also had another well used Johnson main that came with the boat.  My previous sails were also tanbarks.  I loved the looks of them, but after talking to several different sailmakers I have been steered away. From replacing them with tanbarks as they suffer from both performance and longevity.

So as I began looking for sails I spoke with several of the mail order lofts.  In the Midwest the only local loft we have sells Ullman sails.  As I did my research I got turned on to the Custom Axial Laminate (CAL) sails which are priced only sl
ightly higher than Dacron.

So with all that said I went with the CAL Endurance sails from Ullman.  A 135 and main.  I did get to speak with the loft manager out of Cleveland a few times during the decision process and was very happy with both our conversations and his attention to details and concerns I asked about.  New sails should be here around the first of April so I will be able to report back soon after that.
