Lost cover to the anchor chain deck pipe

The flimsy guard chain was broken and someone kicked the anchor chain deck pipe cover overboard yesterday.  I talked to Compac Yachts this morning and the 27/3 has a different hinged cover.  I'm hoping to just replace the cover without pulling the pipe and having to drill the holes for a new one.
Has anyone else with a CP 27/2 found a good fit for replacing this cover?

Did you look~see in a West Marine catalog. That is where the majority of the Com Pac Yacht's hardware can be found. I guarantee you that Com PAC did not have these poured from there own mold at a foundry and after polishing chromed...sounds like how Palmer Johnson Yachts use to do it. Anybody want to put together a consortium of Billionaires so they can be turned into Millionaires? The place, the name, the buildings, the equipment is up for sale. Just drop a dime and call up Timmor Mohammad in London, England.

I did.  There is one that looks similar, but it appears to have different dimensions than I came up with.  I guess I will check it out as maybe there is a typo in the catalog measurements.

FWIW  I've been using a PVC pipe cap on mine for years.  Fits perfectly and has a small line tied to it.  Painted to match the boat.

Good idea on the pvc cap, though the tube on my boat is oval.  I checked out the one at West Marine and it seems to fit after all.  They must have measured a bit differently.
