Looks good!  And you can't fool us. The second post in NOT of your Com-Pac!  And yes, I'd like to see more of the balancing act photos.

Wow, I recognize the pooch and the CP16, seem 'em both out on the lake last summer.

The last pic is a bit confusing. Looks like what they commonly refer to as a "stink pot"? Nice seat though in the transome.

Mercrewser

Stink Pot?  I called it a money pit. :D   More balancing pics coming up soon.

We could have left the boat like this all night!

The Gold/Tan colored Saturn is the tow vehicle!  (Pulls and stops great!)

This is an excellent way to test your marriage!  The boat was in the front yard for about a week on it's side for bottom paint removal.  It was the talk of the neighborhood.

My wife reminded me that it was closer to 3 weeks.

Craig

Thanks for the pics. If I remember you tiltied the trailer and winched the boat back on from the ground. Correct?

Craig

Mercrewser

Yep.  Took less than a minute.

JERSEY SHORE TRAILER SAILERS

Mercrewser

Sorry guys, but I couldnt resist, I had to buy it.  This boat is very rare, only 86 built.  This is hull number 39.  It has a 327 V8 and a V-drive.  It is 100% original, on the original trailer.  I will be restoring it while I use it this year.  I am NOT selling the CP16.  I love sailing.

A 327??  You can't dunk that in Nockamixon!!  :) Is that a river boat? I'm not exactly sure where it is but there is a free ramp on Wallenpaupack on the northeast side across from the dam. I've seen a small cigarette boat fly up and down that lake. Just take a can of fuel treatment with you if you go to Wallenpaupack. My brother has gotten into trouble twice with water in the fuel the marinas sell. A boater told him he always dumps a can in because he expects contaminated fuel.

What kind of a hitch is under the Saturn? As I'm in need of a hitch for mine. I always run a 2" dia ball hitch on everything I tow.

I normally use my Ford Expedition but at times would like to pull my two axle 16 foot flat trailer to go get dirt for the raised gardens at home. A never ending wife project., and steel for trailers I weld up for others, a never ending husband project and other home projects.

I noted in The Handbook of Trailer Sailing by Burgess he was launching his CP 16 and 19 with a Ford Pinto. Now that sounds like cruelity to animals to me  :D LOL. Craig [also skip]
