Sad to say I have a second 27/2 (1987) to sell parts off of or perhaps the complete boat. Have pretty much taken what I needed for my usable 27/2 but still many parts left. Will send a series of pictures in what you might need. Boat was moored in Boston untill a storm broke it free and put it on the rocky shoreline which pushed the keel thru the floor. Trust me it's sad to see...I love my other 27 but I need to empty my driveway. Boat is located in Fall River, MA I would hate to see this end up in a land fill somewhere.

So is any toe rail left on that thing?

Still have boat, could you be more specific in what you need? During a bad storm the boat broke free from it's mooring and took on a rock below the waterline and then ended up on the shoreline. Never went under but hull is holed. What is it you need?

Well,  I'm in the process of buying a 27/2 that has been sitting for a while.  Once the deal goes through I'll make up a list of exactly what I need and we can work something out.  Good to know you have it!  Thanks so much.

Hey, do you still have the boat?  I am looking for some parts for an isofurl roller furler.

Thanks

Allure.

If you still have the boat I could sure use the bowsprit.  Really only need the stainless part but would be willing to buy the wood insert as well.

Hi Capt'n Jim:
I took the bowsprit off today and will send you pictures of it tomorrow. I weighed it for shipping and it came in at 26 pounds. I have not called Hutchen's yet to price a new but it will be 50% of a new one. Starting once again to dismantle more stuff off the boat before the cold weather comes in.

Do you have any of the port lights? If so what size and how many? Did it have a dodger? What about rub rails on the hull? Thanks!

Allure2sail

Hi:
I assume you mean the opening port holes. I used the two large and two of the small ones on my "good" boat and sold the remaining two smaller ones to someone at my marina. I wish I could get a picture of the boat on here with the five ports per side but it looks like a choir to say the least. Dodger was removed by the previous owner before the insurance took the boat away and when i contacted him about it he wanted $500 dollars for it, I said I would pass. Then he offered to swap it for the two self tailing winches, I said I would pass on that as well. Needless to say I am also dodger less !!!! I should mention that these maxwell winches are virtually impossible to find parts for. The fellow in Australia that bought all the remaining inventory has nothing left, I keep these winches if nothing more than for backup parts. I will examine the rub rail tomorrow and let you know about the condition of that. Wish I could be of more help.

I send testiment to his shipping abilities!  Super job Bruce on the packaging and shipping of the bowsprit!  I took pictures, I was so impressed.  You never mentioned if you have the plastic ringe we discussed.

I'll get the ladder out today and take a peek inside the galley. I have to get up there anyways to finish unbolting the bow rail and take it down. It is partially unbolted from getting your bowsprit off (sorry it took awhile). I don't think I have ever seen two of these boats built the same, I call it ongoing manufacturing improvements! The bow rail on the parts boat is mount to the fore deck using a drilled and tapped intermediate plate, the intermediate plate is then mounted to the deck with thru bolts (I believe unless there is a plate embedded in the deck itself. The bow rail on the good boat bolts directly to the deck surface itself (never looked inside to see if there are nuts and washers there.  I guess the engineer in me kicked in when making that crate LOL. Did you ever do anything with MAKO? I passed on the position but my friend applied.
Happy Holidays
