Looking at pictures on the net of CP23 trailers and noticed that some have the bow roller between the front of the roller frame and chock and some don't. Is this roller support necessary considering my roller frame is 151 inches long?

I have it but don't know what it brings to the party.  In fact in order to retrieve my boat I usually lower it because it restricts access to the chock with the rear of the boat still floating.  Then I raise it back to touch the bow after I pull up the ramp.  It might be there to help limit fore and aft rock when towing but not sure.

After reading your post I think I'll try without it on my first haul. I set up my chock post to adjust from 132" to 202" if I remember correctly. I did this to also haull other boats, so I'm thinking that I can snug up pretty tight to prevent any rock. I can always add it later if necessary. Thanks for your help!
