Looking to buy a Sunday Cat, need advice.

I really want to see one of these in the water and gauge it's response in water. I'm a big guy and don't want a flimsy boat.

How and what is the best way to see one in water?
(Before I make a purchase sight unfloated,heh)

Where are you located?

It's a sturdy boat so being a big guy should not be a problem.  However, be aware that seats are low and your butt is below your knees - a bit of a strain moving about.

I've got one, but it is located in Eustis, Fl -- only 483 miles from you!  Probably not worth a trip that long... because ... any Suncat should give you the feel for the boat as the only difference is the cabin length.  If you have any notions of camping out in it, you must go with the Suncat.  Especially if you are a big guy.  I'm 6'4" and 220 pounds, but I was 287 when i started sailing "CAY CAT".  The Sunday Cat really only has room for all the junk you want to carry along with you in the boat.  Small on-the-floor stiffening bulkheads between the cockpit area and the cabin make sleeping inside a pain in the _ _ _.  I'm looking for a tent in which my wife and I could sleep in the cockpit (plenty of room) or a boom tarp with mosquito netting that could do the job.  BTW - I find the cockpit seating high enough (much higher than the Picnic Cat) and adding the collapsible foam filled chairs makes it a perfect fit.  But with all that said, if you feel like you must try a Sunday Cat, a trip to central Florida could be just the ticket!
