As many of you know, I keep my 19/II on Smith Mountain Lake in SW Virginia.  I am fortunate enough to have bought some precious waterfront property on this lake thirty years ago in an effort to give my kids as close to the same influence of a "lake influenced childhood" as I did growing up on Cayuga Lake in Central NY State.

Well, After fighting off the editor friend of the Smith Mountain Lake magazine for many years, The Admiral and I decided to allow her to feature our waterfront in the current issue of the magazine.

Here's a link to the article:  http://issuu.com/smithmountainlaker/docs/sml_marapr_2015_magazine/57?e=0

Y'all are welcome anytime!

I have heard of SML for years, Tim, but never sailed there. Now, I keep my Com-pac 23 here: www.blackbeardsailingclub.com  near New Bern. Nice place to visit.

Back to SML, now I have a Windrider, maybe I'll bring it up there sometime.

Very inspiring Tim. Really makes me want to visit (and trailer my CP19) from Kinston NC. My daughter-in-law is from Roanoake  Va and speaks of frequenting SML when she was coming up. My daughter's fiance's parents live on SML so looks like we need to make a trip there!

Very nice!

Sweet!  Bob Wood and I sailed on SML in 1992 with his Mud Hen.  We were on our way to Maine with a truck and boat trailer.
Nice lake to sail, as I recall.

Tim and Vicki,
Thank you for your hospitality and great conversation.
We had a great time, if you're ever in northern Illinois, you have a place to stay.
Your home is beautiful and you've done a wonderful job on the light house.
I'm keeping my eyes open for an old wooden boat, everyone needs a bar!

Vicki,
If things work out with NC, we would love to have you visit and bring your paint supplies.
I was admiring your talent and should have ommented earlier.

While you're painting the scenery from the dock, Tim can build us a light house!

Hoping to meet again,

Carl and Joan
